Questions
The honest answers.
Is it really free?
Yes, and not as a trial. Everything described on this page is free with no card required. We plan to show a small, clearly-labelled ad on public profile pages to cover hosting. If we ever build something genuinely expensive, that will be the paid thing — not the basics.
How is this different from Linktree?
A link list tells people where you exist. It says nothing about what you're doing. Recently puts a Now line and a stream of short updates alongside your links, so the page is worth revisiting rather than being a one-time redirect.
Do you track my visitors?
Only in aggregate. We count page loads and link clicks per day, plus the hostname a visitor came from — never the full URL, never an IP, no cross-site tracking and no third-party analytics. We don't report unique visitors, because doing that properly would mean storing more about your visitors than we want to.
Can I use my own domain?
Not yet. Right now every page lives at recently.me/yourname. Custom domains are the most-requested thing we haven't built.
What happens to my blog posts?
They're yours. Each long post gets a real URL and appears in your RSS feed, so anything you write here can be read anywhere and moved elsewhere later.
Can I delete my page?
Yes. You can make your page private at any time, and deleting your account removes your profile, posts and stats. It's a single button in your editor, it takes effect immediately, and we don't ask you why.
What are you up to?
Claim your name and answer it in one line. You can fill in the rest later.
